About This Site and It’s Author

This site applies the visual note-taking technique known as sketchnotes to the author’s religious life as a practicing member of the Mormon Faith (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and invites others to do the same.

About James Valentine

James Valentine was born in Charleston, South Carolina and grew up in Tampa, Florida. After his LDS mission to Romania, he attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he studied communication.

In January 2014, he began work on a Master’s in Strategic Communication from Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He currently works in the Publishing Services Department of the Church as a consultant and trainer around digital measurement strategy. He married Elizabeth Lovell on New Year’s Eve 2009. They have two children.
